QUT’s Early Career Academic Recruitment and Development Program (ECARD) has been developed to provide new staff with the best possible start to their academic career. The ECARD program offers a comprehensive suite of skills, knowledge and abilities to ensure success in an academic career. The program is designed and facilitated by academic developers from across the University.
In addition to gaining valuable information on the tertiary education sector and support offered within QUT for academic staff, you will have opportunities to develop valuable alliances with staff from other faculties across the University. Past participants have found these relationships particularly beneficial.
Now going into its fifth year, the ECARD program has proven its value, with participants enjoying success in the areas of research and teaching and career progression through promotion.
I encourage anyone contemplating an academic career to consider QUT’s tailored recruitment and development program and pursue the opportunities on offer for 2009.
