Immigration Requirements
Immigration requirements for positions open to domestic applicants only
If the position is ongoing applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents at the time of the closing date to be eligible for this position.
If the position is fixed term applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents or hold a temporary visa at the time of the closing date for the duration of the fixed term appointment allowing the applicant to work the required hours set out for the period of the fixed term appointment.
Applicants are required to notify the University of any immigration restrictions that may preclude them from fulfilling the terms of any contract of employment offered at QUT.
Workplace Health and Safety
In accordance with QUT’s policy’s staff members in a supervisory role are responsible for, and will be required to have the capacity within the limits of their authority
- for ensuring that activities under their control are undertaken in compliance with health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices; and

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in QUT buildings, inside QUT vehicles or in any area not designated as a smoking area.
Costs related to interview and relocation on appointment
Whilst the University welcomes applications from candidates outside the greater Brisbane area, candidates applying for professional positions at HEW 7 and below and academic positions at Level A will be responsible for any travel and relocation expenses involved in interview/commencing appointment.
