YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As part of a small team you will be sharing the responsibility for the development and ongoing support of IT services for Library staff and clients. You will also be ensuring that the services function efficiently and reliably and are well-matched to users’ needs.

Qualifications Required

To be assessed via applicant’s resume:

Skills and Capabilities Required

You will be assessed on the basis of relevant capability and capacity for the following:

  1. Excellent technical knowledge covering networking, programming and standard PC applications software.
  2. Demonstrated ability to programme, configure, develop and maintain applications in Java, C# and PHP and industry standard databases in a number of Operating System environments.
  3. Develop and maintain standards and documentation within an applications development environment in the Library.
  4. Problem solving skills applicable to both technical and interpersonal issues.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member, preferably in a technical team, as well as the capability of working efficiently independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure, and to contribute worthwhile ideas within a small multi-skilled team.

Desirable

  1. Project management skills and experience participating in significant IT projects.
